Technical Lead Data Analyst

⁠⁠⁠The Benefits Integrity Division has the opportunity to refine its strategic objectives for Compliance Data to ensure it continues to protect the integrity of Medicare payments, ensuring that government expenditure is appropriate and sustainable. There is now a need for a Technical Lead Data Analyst to provide the following services:

Key Responsibilities

Technical Lead - Data Analyst responsibilities include:

• Work independently on projects adhering to standards in unfamiliar situations. Deliver and maintain complex requirements, dashboards and data requests within frameworks and guides documenting work fully contributing to team knowledge sharing
• Correctly apply analytical and technical techniques, highlighting when existing techniques aren't appropriate and proposing potential solutions
• Engage with clients to ensure development of solutions deliver desired outcomes
• Participate in the quality assurance process both from own work and serving to check others
• Work through situations when standard operating procedures do not yet exist proposing solutions for team consideration and future use

Other Capabilities:

• Provide expert knowledge on data across the health programs. Has and maintains deep technical knowledge of large, critical aspects of compliance work
•  Deliver end-to-end high-value projects and/ or solutions for Risk Analytics Section
•  Systematically embed knowledge for team capability uplift
•  Contribute expert advice on changes and scope in areas of specialisation
•  Contribute to team operations, particularly in knowledge sharing
•  Identify, develop and maintain relationships to deliver work outcomes
•  Recognised outside of branch as technical expert introducing external perspectives
•  Create analytical methodologies and standards for work within the division

Security Requirements:

• All proposed Specified Personnel must have the ability to obtain and maintain a minimum of a Baseline security clearance.
• National Police Check (carried out within the last six months).
