Project Management & Design Services - East Nowra Sub Arterial Road

Project Scope Statement

To complete the design, investigations and early works associated with the new sub-arterial road along the eastern side of Nowra which will link the Princes Highway to Greenwell Point Road at the intersection with Old Southern Road.

Project Objectives

The overall objective of the project is to deliver consistent, safe, high quality road infrastructure for the people of NSW.

The project consists of the following key objectives with a $12 Million investment to plan, design, acquire land, and commence early works on the ENSA project:

▪ Improve traffic flow between Nowra and the eastern suburbs.

Removes vehicles from Princes Highway directly associated with Nowra Centre Plaza traffic, improving traffic flow on Princes Highway and conditions on local roads (both sides of the Highway).

▪ Reduce congestion on Kalandar Street by distributing traffic away from the intersection of Princes Highway / Kalandar Street.

▪ Reduce the volume of traffic rat-running on under-designed floodplain roads east of Princes Highway which have high maintenance and high crash rates, these include Terara Road – Comerong Island Road, Millbank Road, and Jindy Andy Lane.
