Transport for NSW (TfNSW) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from companies that have capability to undertake the design and construction works for the Epping Bridge Project (EBP) Main Works

Project goals

The Australian and NSW governments are jointly providing funding to replace Epping Bridge to ease congestion, reduce travel times and improve safety for road users in Northwest Sydney. The upgrade will complement the Epping Town Centre road and intersection upgrades completed by Transport for NSW in 2018 to improve and alleviate traffic congestion in the area.

The Epping Bridge Project is needed to support the Epping Town Centre Urban Activation Plan by increasing road capacity for future growth and renewal. The project will provide a well-designed infrastructure element that makes a positive contribution to Epping Town Centre. The project aligns with future road and rail plans, primarily the planned fourth rail track at Epping Station.

Expression of Interest Objective

The objective of the Expression of Interest (EOI) Stage is to undertake a rigorous shortlisting process to identify a shortlist of Applicants with the greatest certainty of delivering the Epping Bridge Project - Main Works objectives to participate in the Request for Tender (RFT) Stage. It is anticipated that the shortlisting process will include evaluating Applicants corporate experience and expertise, financial capacity, proposed team and approach to mitigating key risks in the design and construction of the Epping Bridge Project - Main Works.

TfNSW's intention is to shortlist a maximum of 3 Applicants, however, TfNSW reserves the right to vary this number at its discretion.

The project involves the replacement of the existing Epping Bridge with a new wider, single span bridge (with no centre pier).
