Supply, Delivery and Commissioning of Two (2) Narrow Gauge Road Rail Electric 4-Seater Utility Terrain Vehicles (UTVs)

⁠⁠⁠SCOPE OVERVIEW

Queensland Rail is seeking a Contractor for the supply, delivery, rolling stock registration and commissioning of Two (2) Narrow Gauge Road Rail Electric 4-Seater Utility Terrain Vehicles (UTVs). The objective of this RFP process is information to complete an evaluation and selection of a Tenderer that meets the requirements of this RFP and offers the best fit functionally, technically and commercially, which includes value for money.

The equipment will be used for track inspections and maintenance on the SEQ network. This includes in tunnels, in yards and on open track. During work, the equipment may be on the rail track, or on the ground.

PROCESS OVERVIEW

For this Tender (QRP-24-51), the information uploaded on QTenders is not all the Tender information, however it is enough information for the suppliers / interested tenderers to determine whether the scope of works is suitable for their company profile.

If a company is interested, please follow the below steps:

1. Tenderers who wish to access the tender documents in full must register their interest by emailing Simon Whyte at Simon.Whyte@qr.com.au with the following details:

• Name of Tendering Organisation
• Ariba Network ID (ANID#) (for existing suppliers with Queensland Rail)
• ABN
• Name of Tender Representative
• Email address of Tender Representative

2. ​Tender submissions will only be accepted electronically via the Ariba Sourcing system, Queensland Rail’s tendering system. If you already have an ARIBA account (Ariba Network ID (ANID)), please advise Simon Whyte to link the tender to that account.

Queensland Rail will not accept any physical responses or responses via the Queensland Government QTenders website.

3. Tenderers who wish to access the tender documents must have an SAP Ariba network account and register the account to do business with Queensland Rail to enable visibility of your Ariba profile. To register, please refer to the “Ariba Registration of Company Profile” guide attached.

Refer to the attached document “Queensland Rail SAP Ariba Event Supplier Guide” for instructions on how to navigate Ariba Sourcing (once your interest has been registered).

TENDER PROCESS TIMEFRAME

The anticipated timeframes following the Tender release are:

• Evaluation Process - October–November 2024
• Estimated Award Date – February 2025

Queensland Rail reserves the right to alter the above dates throughout the Tender Process should the need arise.

All communication must be sent through to the nominated Queensland Rail Contact Officer.
