Hunter Water has a responsibility to provide Personal Protective Equipment, Footwear, Workwear and Corporate Clothes and Uniforms for its employees.

The supply and delivery of these items may be required anywhere within Hunter Water's area of operations, which includes but is not limited to the local government areas of Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Cessnock, Port Stephens and Dungog.

A range of regularly used PPE items are kept in Hunter Water's warehouses to ensure ready availability if required. These items are replenished as necessary based on minimum/maximum stock levels.

Workwear and Footwear, being generally replaced on an as required basis, are obtained direct from Contract suppliers.

Under the existing Contract, vending machines have been provided to Tomago depot and Honeysuckle Head Office that stock items of PPE necessary for field-based activities.

Under the new Contract, the effectiveness and cost implication of retaining vending machines will be evaluated. The Contractor is requested to confirm how usage could be linked to existing Hunter Water swipe cards or staff payroll numbers for tracking or provide documentation for any alternate vending options.
