Proactive Traffic Management Services for the Water Unit

⁠⁠⁠• The Water Unit intends to enter into a contract with a Traffic Management company to deliver Traffic Management services for its “Contracts” team. Note the reactive repair works will still be procured on an ‘as required’ basis.

• For the Water Unit and the subcontractors to properly scope and price the works, it is usual that a draft Traffic Management Plan (TMP) is prepared in advance. This would be prepared by a TMP provider after discussions with the Water Unit and allows the works methodology to be scoped and priced around the likely TMP requirements. It is important that this TMP is prepared as early as possible in the pricing process, to allow an efficient and timely pricing and delivery response.

• Once the other subcontracts had submitted their price and one was accepted, the TMP provider would discuss the methodology before finalising and submitting the TMP for approval. Note if this results in changes to the TMP, and variation in price would be discussed and agreed.
