Maranoa Regional Council (Council) invites suitably qualified and experienced Contractors in aerodrome lighting design and installation to submit a Lump Sum Pricing and Schedule of Rates Pricing with supporting documentation for a lighting upgrade of council’s aerodrome at Injune Qld 4454.

The project will replace the current aerodrome lighting with LED lighting.

Injune is an Aeroplane Landing Area (ALA) and is situated at co-ordinates S25 51.5 E 148 32.6, approximately 2km southwest of the Injune township. The ALA is regularly used by the Royal Flying Doctor Service for aeromedical evacuations at all hours.

The current Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL) and associated infrastructure is up to 20 years old and approaching end of life. Maranoa Regional Council has elected to replace the existing AGL system at Injune aerodrome and provide access for future upgrades as may happen. The installation of a new Non-Precision Instrument Low Intensity Runway Lighting (LIRL) system will enhance the night operations at each aerodrome and provide increased reliability.
