Softfall surfacing renewal: safety tiles

⁠⁠⁠The City of Sydney ("the City") invites Quotations for the carrying out of construction works for the Softfall surfacing renewal: safety tiles project in accordance with this request for quote (RFQ).

The works include renewal of soft fall surfacing with safety tiles and associated civil and landscape works at the following park areas:

- Wentworth Park Fitness stations (four areas) Wentworth Park Rd, Ultimo NSW 2007

- Burren Street Playground (one area) 88 Burren St, Erskineville NSW 2043

The City has an ongoing parks and playgrounds improvement program. The program aims to improve the quality of open space and play experiences, provide a diverse range of play opportunities, and improve the amenity of green spaces in our neighbourhoods.

Soft fall is utilized in many of the City's parks. The City has identified various areas where the soft fall is at the end of its useful life and/or needs replacement. The objective of the engagement is to renew these existing areas to meet current standards

The anticipated key milestone dates are as follows:

- Contract Award 23 September 2024

- Preconstruction period - October 2024

- Construction period - October - December 2024

- Practical Completion on or before 16 December 2024

Bidders must submit a Quotation in the manner required by this RFQ.

Prior to the submission of a quotation, bidders shall attend site to make themselves fully aware of the site location, condition, constraints, surrounds and work required.
