Invitation to Register an Interest - Aboriginal Cultral Heritage Assessment Report

Artefact Heritage and Environment has been engaged to prepare an Aboriginal Cultral Heritage Assessment Report for developments to the property known as 30-32 Matthew Flinders Place, Burraneer, located in the Sutherland Shire Council LGA and within the boundaries of the La Perouse Local Aboriginal Land Council (LALC). Assessment of Aboriginal heritage to the proposal is subject to the National Parks and Wildlife Act 4974, under the oversight of Heritage NSW for propsed impacts to an Aboriginal site. The ACHAR will be prepared in accordance with the relevant guidelines and will include community consultation in accordance with the Aboriginal cultural heritage consultation requirements for proponents 2010 (DECCW 2010).

Artefact is inviting registrations of interest from Aboriginal groups and individuals who hold cultural knowledge relevant to determining the significance of Aboriginal objects and/or places in the region to assist the proponent in identifying Aboriginal cultural heritage values within the proposal area. Please note that the Consultation Guidelines require us to provide details of the Registered Aboriginal Parties to Heritage NSW and the La Perouse LALC.
