Bowen Sporting Complex - Design & Installation of Field Lighting

⁠⁠⁠Whitsunday Regional Council (Principal) are proposing to upgrade the field lighting to the main three (3) sporting fields, cricket, rugby and touch fields, at the Bowen “Col Leather” Sporting Complex, 67 Woodlands Road, Bowen Qld 4805 (the Works). The Works will require demolition of existing lighting towers and a new 300 lux lighting system is to be designed and installed to cater for the requirements of all three sporting fields to the requirements of AS 2560.

The field lighting currently consists of four timber poles used for training purposes only. Two poles are approximately 24 metres high, and they hold six 2000-watt metal halides each. The two remaining poles are approximately 12 metres high and contain 2 x 1000-watt LED fixtures each. The poles are cabled to the Main Switch Board (MSB) located on the Property Pole containing the Ergon Transformer at the western side of the Rugby Club House.

The Principal requires a suitably qualified and experienced Electrical Contractor (Contractor) to manage the full scope of the Works including electrical and lighting design, demolition of the existing, building approvals and construction of a new compliant lighting system.
