Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠The City of Stirling (Principal), invites tenders to seek professional Contractors for the control of weeds and pests within the City of Stirling, spraying Pesticides/Herbicides amongst the various Active & Passive reserves, Conservation Areas, as well as grassed areas.

The Principal currently manages pests and weeds in some 450 Parks & Reserves, Irrigated Reserves, Conversation Areas, via a program known as Integrated Pest Management (IPM).

This program is a core function of the Principal’s Infrastructure Directorate. It encompasses all facets of pest management and the safe use of pesticides. This includes the storage, handling and effective distribution of pesticides as a last resort.

This Invitation for Tender (IFT) is being released to market in order to establish 2 panels of experienced contractors who can deliver services for the following respective Panel(s). Panel 2 has 3 categories within it. 

1. Panel 1 - Turfed Reserves

2. Panel 2 – Conservation Areas

    o Category 1 – Chemical

    o Category 2 – Non-Chemical, Cambium and, Mechanical Hot Water and Steam

    o Category 3 – Specialised Services

Basis of Contract Award

Panel 1 – Turfed Reserves

The Principal intends to award a contract to two (2) Respondents but reserves the right to award contracts to more of fewer Respondents if deemed appropriate.

Panel 2 – Conservation Areas

The Principal intends to award a contract to four (4) Respondents but reserves the right to award contracts to more of fewer Respondents if deemed appropriate.

This request is referred to as the Leading request and each panel is a Subordinate Request. Links to the Subordinate Requests (panel) are provided below. Tenderers may choose to apply for one or more panel and one or more category/s.
