City of Newcastle (CN) is finalising documentation for the Design and Construction of the Foreshore Park All Abilities Playground and Water Park (the Project). CN is now seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) on an open tender basis for a suitably qualified Principal Contractor to undertake the Design Finalisation and Construction Works (the Works).

The purpose of this Call for Expression of Interest is to;

• invite suitably qualified entities to submit Expressions of Interest to undertake the Design and Construct Works for the Foreshore Park All Abilities Playground and Water Park, so that CN can select a shortlist of Contractors to whom it intends to issue a Request for Tender.
• provide details of the evaluation criteria and the process that will be used in selecting the
• shortlisted respondents;
• provide details of the procurement process for the project; and provide information about the Project's scope, status, and timeframe.

This EOI is the first of a two-stage procurement process.

Stage 1 includes this Expression of Interest for the purpose of determining a short-list of suitable respondents for the proposed contract.

Stage 2 will comprise an invitation to shortlisted applicants to tender on the Design and Construction works.

Persons willing to fulfil the requirements of the proposed contract are invited to submit a response to the Council by the deadline, 2pm on Tuesday 20 August 2024. Responsibility for lodgement of completed EOI documents by the deadline lies solely with the Respondent. EOI lodgement information is provided in this document. Council is not bound to shortlist or proceed with any EOI submitted.

Respondents will be limited to having a maximum of two company representatives attending the presubmission site meeting.
