Landgate is the custodian of several foundation spatial datasets, which are relied upon across WA government and industry to support decision making and deliver services. These critical datasets must be managed and maintained on behalf of the State.

Importantly, these datasets are authoritative, fundamental land information (FLI) as defined in section 3 of the Land Information Authority Regulations 2007 (Land Information Authority Act 2006).

This program seeks to replace, improve and modernise the following applications (databases and tools) used to store, manage, and maintain the four stated foundation spatial datasets on behalf of the State, and shared via Spatial WA to support evidence-based decision making.
