The Department for Infrastructure and Transport (the Department) invites suitably experienced and prequalified companies to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the Supply and Installation of Variable Message Signs (VMS) with Gantry on Multiple Sites, Contract No. 23C400.

This project is to undertake early works for the Department’s Torrens to Darlington (T2D) North South Corridor Project and includes the supply and installation of multiple VMS to be installed on gantry frames in most instances and on bridge structures where suitable.

The early commissioning of these VMS has been determined to provide benefit during the construction phase of the North South Corridor and other Department projects by enabling the Department’s Traffic Management Centre (TMC) to notify motorists of changed conditions or any relevant issues that may arise due to construction activities. These VMS will also be utilised in the network following commissioning of the North South Corridor Project.

This EOI is the first competitive phase of a two-stage procurement process to establish a GC21 Construct Only Contract to deliver the works. The objective of the EOI process is to identify organisations that are interested, pre-qualified and suitably experienced in participating in the subsequent Request for Tender (RFT) phase.

MANDATORY PREQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Tenderers must meet the minimum Department pre-qualification requirements under the National Roadworks and Bridgework prequalification system and hold current licences and accreditation, as follows:

• Roadworks level: R3;
• Financial level: F20;
• SA Builder’s Licence; and
• Federal Safety Commissioner WHS Accreditation.
