Bundaberg Regional Council (Council) is committed to ensuring the security of passengers, aircraft and members of the public that access and utilise the that at the Bundaberg Regional Airport (located at Airport Drive, Bundaberg QLD 4670) is of a high standard.

As the designated screening authority for the airport, Council has a regulatory commitment requirement associated with this authority, in accordance with the Aviation Transport Security Act 2004 and Aviation Transport Security Regulations 2005.

To enable security commitments to be met, Council requires security services to be provided to control the security screening of people, hand luggage and checked baggage and freight, with a customer service focus.

This contract is to commence on 01 October 2024 for an initial period of three (3) years, with a further (3) year extension at Council’s discretion and subject to satisfactory performance of the Supplier.

SITE INSPECTION

A site inspection of is available for interested Respondents. This is not compulsory.

The date and times for site inspections are firm and are listed in the Invitation to Offer document supplied. Inspections are to commence on the dates and at the start times listed within.

Prior registration for a site inspection is essential. Respondents wishing to attend a site inspection must register their interest within tendering portal  via the "submit a question" function. Council may not be able to accommodate a site inspection without prior registration.

Council is unable to accept site inspection requests outside of the tendering portal, nor can Council accommodate requests for different inspection dates and times.
