Weed Management - Various Locations - Cloncurry

⁠⁠⁠Cloncurry Shire Council is looking to engage a suitably qualified contractor to deliver and/or coordinate the delivery of a number of weed management campaigns in/around the town of Cloncurry, including the targetting of rubbervine, calotrope, castor oil plant, Leucaena, mequite, prickly acacia and other weeds at the following locations:

•  Cloncurry River (eastern and western banks): Railway Bridge to Ernest Henry Bridge, Ernest Henry Bridge to Hensley Causeway
•  Coppermine Creek: Sheaffe Street to the Anabranch, Anabranch to the Cloncurry River
•  Chinaman Creek Dam Fuse Plug and Levee Wall (all plants, shrubs, trees within relevant area to be targetted).

Given the location and site characteristics, it is anticipated that a mix of approaches will be required: mechanical removal, chemical spraying, aerial spraying etc.

The aim is to complete this campaign in sufficient time to allow for a burn in late September/early October 2024.
