Tender Description

The aim of MGP Quick Response is to provide funding to assist with unplanned events or changing circumstances.

Projects that will be considered are assessed on how well they meet the following criteria:

• Assist the community’s knowledge and appreciation of different cultures
• Foster opportunities for multicultural communities to maintain, develop and express their cultural and linguistic diversity
• Accessible and can be attended by the broader Northern Territory community

Who can apply
Funding is available to not for profit organisations only.
To be eligible for funding an organisation must
  • be operating as a not for profit organisation
  • be physically located and actively operating in the NT
Types of organisations that are eligible for funding include

  • Not-for-profit and/or charitable incorporated multicultural community organisations
  • Not-for-profit and/or charitable incorporated multicultural community organisations that are in partnership with other organisations to deliver a project
  • Not-for-profit unincorporated multicultural community organisation that has an auspice organisation that has agreed to administer the grant
  • Other incorporated, not-for-profit and/or charitable organisations where a proposed project meet the grant aim and criteria
Who can't apply
  • Types of organisations that are not eligible for funding include

Individuals, government, local government and private-for-profit groups are not eligible for assistance.

Applications Close 01/05/2025 12:00 AM
Project / Service Commencement 01/07/2024 8:00 AM Once the Grant Agreement has been signed by the grant recipient, successful applicants will be legally obliged to complete the project/activity funded by the Northern Territory Government on the date that was provided in the application.
Project / Service Completion 30/06/2025 11:00 PM If the activity does not occur within the agreed timeframe, the funds must be returned to the NT Government. A change of date or venue may be considered however must be negotiated with the Office of Multicultural Affairs in writing. Lodge a completed variation form via GrantsNT, prior to the original completion date, as per the signed Grant Agreement.
