Supply of Slow Release Calcium Hypochlorite

⁠⁠⁠The purpose of this contract is to engage a dedicated supply chain an initial period of three (3) years, with options for Hunter Water to extend the Contract for a further two periods of one year each (3+1+1) at its sole discretion, based on performance over the awarded period.

Existing supply chain options have indicated that the equipment required to manufacture this product is now reaching end of life and will no longer provide an option to supply.

Hunter Water is looking to partner with a supplier that can supply or manufacture a product that meets its technical requirements.

The Contractor will be required to supply Slow-Release Calcium Hypochlorite tablets direct to Hunter Water as and when required.

Currently, dosing is a manual process, requiring employees to visit sites and manually add the tablets to the tanks. As part of the Disinfection Optimisation Strategy (DOS) Hunter Water is commissioning new chlorinators coming online in the near term. The second stage of DOS commencing 2025 will also focus on reducing or improving efficiency of manual tablet dosing (i.e. automatic tablet doser)
