Virginia Oval Entrance Upgrade

The City of Playford (the Council) invites quotes from Respondents for the provision of the upgrade of the entrance to Virginia Oval.

Whilst undertaking the upgrade of the Old Port Wakefield Road in Virginia, Council was made aware of community concerns over the traffic flow in and out of the memorial gates at Virginia Oval.

This entrance is utilised by the school, football club and other sporting club and park users as a thoroughfare. The existing gates are not wide enough for two cars to pass simultaneously, therefore causing a backlog of vehicles along Old Port Wakefield Road and along the driveway through to Park Road.

This RFQ is for the construction of the widening of the existing heritage listed memorial gate to the oval, to allow two cars to safely pass and free up traffic backlog.
