Tender Description
Council is tendering for the design and construction of a new playground at Memorial Park. The project aims to create an inclusive, safe, and enjoyable play space for children of all ages and abilities, reflecting community feedback and adhering to budget and space constraints. The budget allocated for this project is up to $350,000.
The tender response should include return of all required schedules including an itemised price and a lump sum price and a timeline identifying likely completion date (starting 1st August 2024).
Key items the accepted tenderer will need to deliver during the tender period, include the following:
- Site establishment, preparation and administration
- Construction and installation of playground equipment
- Supply and installation of fencing
- Supply and installation of playground surfacing (natural and softfall)
- Supply and installation of shade structure
Council seeks at least two proposed designs, ideally three, that can be voted on by the community following the selection of a Vendor. The designs should consider the desires of the community in addition to the contents of this scope of works.
Council will provide a Greenfields site. The Existing structure within the designated area will be demolished by Council. It is proposed that BBQ and seating areas be reinstated in the design to accommodate an appropriate urban design response to this space. The playground and surrounding infrastructure outlined in this scope of works should be installed and operational by 1st December 2024.
Non-conforming tenders will be considered should the vendor determine, a more suitable option can be provided in line with community expectations.
