Tender Description
This project aims to upgrade and enhance the transport and stormwater infrastructure along Lawsons Street in Byron Bay, stretching from Fletcher Street to Middleton Street. The scope of this project includes demolition of existing pavement and drainage infrastructure, Installation of new transport and drainage assets, installation of kerbs, concrete paths, crossings, and driveways. It also includes provision of new traffic islands, road signage, and line marking. This project is a key project to Byron Shire Council and aligns with the broader Byron Bay drainage strategy.
A key objective of this project is to perform the project with minimal disruption to both road users and local businesses. Time is crucial to this project, with a focus on completing the project prior to the onset of schoolies or the December holiday season.
The plans have been approved for construction and is funded by federal government funding bodies.
Council therefore wishes to engage a suitably qualified Principal Contractor to undertake the works.
Due to the location of the site being in the centre of town, timing of the works is critical to the success of this project.
