Waikato Water Network Renewals Programme 2024/27 - Registration Of Interest (ROI)

⁠⁠⁠Watercare is seeking to establish an efficient delivery model to support the Waikato District Councils Ambitious Water Supply Renewals, Upgrades, and Extensions programme.

The implementation of a programme of work to combine network upgrades, renewals, and extensions over three years will secure key opportunities under a planned workstream [2024-27 Water Network Renewals Programme] is proposed.

Currently, there is allocated funding to complete Year One of the 2024-27 Water network Renewals Programme, subject to final funding approval in July24. However, further years are to be approved annually. The intention is to work with contractors on a year-on-year engagement over the three-year programme, subject to performance.

To successful contractors awarded the initial single year package, this will open up opportunities to be awarded further year-on-year extensions. This is expected to deliver benefits, seek responsive delivery partners, engage positively with customers and ensure a cost-effective solution and outcome.

The key project activities for the Annual Plan 2024/2025 year and the overall 2024-2027 WS Network Renewals Programme are detailed below:

Package 1:

-District-Wide Water Supply Reticulation Renewals (2024 - 2027)

Package 2:

-Meremere (Mid Waikato) New Watermain (2024 - 2025)

-Ngaruawahia Water Supply Reticulation Upgrades (2024 - 2026)
