Transportation and Processing of Street Sweeping Material from Council Roads

SCOPE OF EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

Northern Beaches Council (Council) invites Expressions of Interest for the provision of transportation and processing of street sweeping materials from Council's local roads. The scope of the Expression of Interest (EOI) includes provision of services to collect street sweepings from temporary storage areas at Council depots and process these street sweepings in strict accordance with the necessary licence/s and legislation for the receival, transportation, processing, and disposal of the materials. Council requires a value for money service that achieves a very high rate of resource recovery (diversion from landfill). The applicant will supply the necessary and appropriate containers for the temporary storage and transportation of the material from Council depots to the appropriately licensed processing facility/facilities.

The volume of street sweepings from Council's local road network averages 2,000 to 2500 tonnes per annum. The materials are temporarily stored at Council's work depots before being disposed of. This may include one or more of Council's work depots at 55 Middleton Road, Cromer, 46 to 48 Balgowlah Road Balgowlah or 1 Boondah Road, Warriewood. Volumes and locations may vary and Council in general cannot guarantee the total volume generated per year.

LODGEMENT
