This procurement activity seeks a service provider capable of delivering 70 foster and kinship care places (T204) for children and young people aged under 18 years requiring family-based care, who have been assessed as having moderate or high level of support needs (U2270). Placements will be across Cape York and the Torres Strait Islands.

This service will be delivered by an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Organisation or an incorporated indigenous business.

Whilst it is anticipated the majority of young people and carers supported by the service will be First Nations, the service is required to support non-First Nations carers and young people within the geographical catchment area.

The geographic catchment area for this service covers the following statistical area level 2 (SA2s) within the Cape York North and Torres Strait Islands Child Safety Service Centre (CSSC) and the Cairns North and Lower Cape CSSC in the Far North Queensland region:
