The Principal seeks to establish a plumbing and gas services panel arrangement comprising of two prequalified service providers who are well experienced, qualified with the organisational capacity to undertake a range of plumbing and gas maintenance services for the City of South Perth. It is expected that the resulting contracts will commence on 1 November 2024.
The Panel will consist of one category, which includes the following work:
1. Facilities, Reactive Works, and Planned Maintenance for TMVs, Gas Heaters, Hot Water Units, and Pumps for hot water units; and
2. Reactive Works for Parks and Reserves and Public Toilets, and Planned Maintenance for Backflows, Septic Educts and Septic Pumps.
The term of the contract shall be for three years and includes one option to extend for a further 24 months exercisable at the sole discretion of the City.
Tenderers to note:
1. In the event of a Panel member exiting the arrangement before the natural contract expiry date, the City can appoint from the next ranked value for money tenderer from the RFT selection process undertaken for this RFT and
2. The allocation of work will be in accordance with the Buying Rules.

The City
The City of South Perth is a medium sized metropolitan local government authority in the inner southern suburbs of the Western Australian capital city of Perth. Situated across the Swan River about 4 kilometres south of Perth CBD, the City is nearly 20 square kilometres and covers the suburbs of South Perth, Kensington, Como, Manning, Karawara, Waterford and Salter Point. The district is primarily residential, however important local industries include professional offices, educational institutions, tourism and golf courses.

The Organisation
The City's Civic Centre is located on the corner of Sandgate Street and South Terrace, South Perth. The City also operates from other locations including its Operations Centre at 199 Thelma Street, Como. The organisation has the responsibility for the good government of the City of South Perth. The City must perform its functions in accordance with the Local Government Act WA 1995. The City also has statutory obligations under a wide range of state and federal legislation.
