Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠A contract for the construction of the new depot was awarded in mid 2020 and work commenced. Earthworks, some underground services, workshop, store and office have been partially completed.

A dispute arose between the parties and work ceased in 2021. The dispute was eventually settled in late 2023 and the contract dissolved.

Council now wishes to have the project completed. To that end Council wishes to appoint a Construction Manager to manage the work.

The Scope of Work includes:

Appointment of Site Manager
Appointment of Labour
Clean up of the site and disposal of rubbish,
Verification of construction materials stored on site,
Programming and reporting
Earthworks (which may be carried out by Council)
Sealed and unsealed pavements (which may be carried out by Council)
Completion of Workshop (partially complete), Store (partially complete), Storage Sheds and Covered Parking areas (not started), which will involve calling for and assessing the following trade quotations:
Formwork and Concreting
Electrical
Plumbing
Structural steel erection
Internal and external cladding
Roofing
Painting
Roller Doors supply and install
Block work
See Annexure Part B to AS4916 2002 in Volume, but generally
Preparation and Management of formal Subcontracts for major portions of the work
Preparation and management of Purchase Orders for minor portions of the work.
