CON24016: Whangarei District Council invites submissions for professional services under Contract CON24016 for the Morningside Flood Mitigation project at Rawhiti Street.
This comprehensive project includes the detailed design and procurement guidance of the installation of a pump station capable of transferring 2 m³/s at low head, floodgates, and associated infrastructure improvements within the Morningside Catchment area.
The objective is to significantly reduce the flooding frequency to a 1 in 2-year average recurrence interval (ARI) with provisions for future enhancements to reach a 1 in 5-year ARI. This contract requires close coordination with the Council's Waste & Drainage team, timely progress updates, and adherence to specified environmental and safety standards.
Council's preference is for the entire tender process, including downloading tender documents, raising queries and submitting tenders, to be managed electronically using the Whangarei District Council's E-Procurement Portal. This Portal can be accessed via (see option below)
