Request for Expressions of Interest Purchase and development Lot 2 94 Woodward Street Orange

⁠⁠⁠Orange City Council is inviting Expressions of Interest for the purchase and the development of Proposed Lot 2, 94 Woodward Street.

Last year Orange City Council resolved the following: 

That Council advertise Expressions of Interest for the sale of future Lot 2 at 94 Woodward Street Orange for the purposes of constructing Social and/or Affordable Housing. 

Council is primarily interested in what a potential developer could design for social and affordable housing in Orange and accordingly the Expressions of Interest should include the proposed development including the benefits of the design and the yield of units.

EOIs will also need to outline the mix of housing proposed. For example, the EOI will need to state the development will include x units of affordable and x units of social housing. If an EOI includes general market housing those numbers should also be included.

EOI must provide Affordable housing.

Affordable means housing for very low-income households, low-income households or moderate-income households, being such households as are prescribed by the:

Site details

The land is known as proposed Lot 2, 94 Woodward Street Orange and has an area of 4833.4m2.

The site would be accessed directly from the round-about at the intersection of Woodward Street and Wentworth Lane. Lot 2 wraps around the existing heritage house in front of Endeavour Oval/Emus Rugby Club.
