Artefact Heritage is undertaking an Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Assessment Report (ACHAR) for proposed works proposed by Goodman Property Services (Australia) Pty Ltd involving the demolition of the existing warehouses, commercial office buildings and parking facilities followed by the construction of a four-storey office building, a carpark, two generator gantries and associated infrastructure at 4-10 Talavera Road, Macquarie Park, 2113.

This proposed development is located at Lot 11 DP733881 (4 Talavera Road) and Lot 4 DP1031467 (6-10 Talavera Road) within the City of Ryde Local government Area (LGA) and within the boundaries of the Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council (LALC).

Goodman Property Services are submitting the planning pathway via a State Significant Development (SSD) assessment under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979. This ACHAR will address the Standard Industry Secretary’s Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARs) for Warehouses and Distribution centres until site specific SEARs are issued. In anticipation of the project being awarded SSD status, we are inviting registrations of interest in the project from Aboriginal groups and individuals who hold cultural knowledge relevant to determining the significance of Aboriginal objects and/or places in the locality of the project.
