Tender Description

The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for Human Resources and recruitment professional services consultants for the development of an Attraction and Retention Plan for Building and Technical Inspectorate.

The Building and Technical Inspectorate, provides specialist inspection services within the QBCC, providing technical decisions related to disputes and scopes of work for rectification of defective building work and proactive inspection services including the provision of advice about the performance of building work in Queensland.There a number of roles within the inspectorate that would benefit from application of a targeted and bespoke attraction and engagement approach, that is sustainable to deliver across the short, medium and long term.

The selected vendor will be expected to provide comprehensive services in the following key areas:

  • Conduct a review of the Building and Technical Inspectorate’s current recruitment, attraction, and retention processes, developing a sustainable long-term Attraction and Retention Plan and provide recommendations for improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, including tailored to specific needs and include measures for ongoing evaluation and adaptation of the plan based on organisational needs.
  • Evaluate the Building and Technical Inspectorate’s current marketing channels and approach for attracting candidates and provide enhanced options to improve recruitment marketing.
  • Develop and execute (in collaboration with QBCC Communications and HR teams) a targeted media approach to attract potential candidates including content creation for use on QBCC’s website, job search platforms (including Smartjobs) and social media.
  • Leverage social media platforms to enhance visibility and appeal to a broader audience.
  • Coordinate with key internal QBCC stakeholders to determine the agreed process and execute the media marketing approach.

Initial contract period will be for 6 month with an option to extend.
