WSP have identified the opportunity to go out to market to assess the service providers in the industry which show innovative approaches to providing the services of Occupational Health Management & Monitoring. By engaging with these service providers and benchmarking this will enable us to gain insights into industry standards and best-in-class practices. Regular market assessments ensure compliance with changing regulatory and legal Contractual Considerations

Objectives

This ROI is intended to enable WSP to identify and select a vendor or vendors with the proven capability and capacity to deliver Products and Services that:

- Consolidate all aspects of WSP’s occupational health needs into one central point of contact, using their network of professionals to ensure comprehensive coverage across New Zealand.

- Single consolidated point for managing of services as well as consolidated invoicing.

- Opportunity to access various specialists, ensuring that the business can address their employee’s health needs effectively.

- Flexibility in a tailored solution to meet the unique needs of WSP.

- Service Providers ability to gain insights into our company’s health risk and help mitigate them proactively.

- Focus on keeping staff healthy and productive, whether its regulated occupational health monitoring, (such as the Asbestos regulations) or managing long term employee's occupational health, with ISO 27001 security or equivalent requirement. 

- Identifying any risk factors that may need to be addressed (such as noise induced hearing loss). 

- Delivering vaccinations in an appropriate timeframe to meet the requirements of the employee either for work related activities or deployment overseas.

- Opportunity to explore supplier diversity in using local suppliers where outsourced.

• Asbestos Health Monitoring

• Workplace Health - field and laboratory services

• Functional testing such as fitness to work.

• Pre employment medicals (Laboratory staff – new requirement beginning Quarter two 2024)

• Ergonomic Assessments/Occupational Therapist assessments (manual handling tasks)

• Immunisation screening and Vaccination programme (including Wastewater, international vaccinations & Flu vaccinations. Flu vaccinations onsite, and only being charged for redeemed flu vouchers)

• Injury and Illness Rehabilitation

• Health & Safety Training (ergonomic quick assessments, manual handling)

• Mental Health Services – wellness/wellbeing checks

• Access to medical General Practitioners when working away from home base and require GP assistance.

• Timely access to an Occupational Physician as required.

• Use Health information to report insights and recommendations to WSP.
