Tender Description

The City of Bayswater is a medium sized metropolitan local government located approximately 8km east of the Perth CBD. The City includes the suburbs of Noranda, Morley, Embleton, Bedford, Bayswater, Maylands and a small portion of Mount Lawley. For the purposes of the tender process, these areas have been designated as zones 1 to 7.

Powerline pruning is to be undertaken from 1 January to 30 May each year, with approximately 12,000 trees within the vicinity of a low or high voltage powerline. It is imperative that tenderers have capacity for achieving the City's program completion dates, unforeseen difficulties relating to the work environment and condition of trees for which provision has not been made in the tender will not relieve the Contractor from the obligation to fulfil the contract.

The pruning of trees located within the vicinity of high voltage power lines is outside the scope of this tender and are generally undertaken through the Arboricultural works Tender or Western Power.

It is imperative that tenderers have the capacity for achieving the City's program completion dates.

This work will be undertaken City wide in zones 1 to 7 (below), however works are intended to be awarded to more than one contractor.

As such, separable portion A includes Zones 1 to 3 and 7 and separable portion B includes Zones 4 to 6 inclusive. This division aims to provide an equitable split in the volume of trees.

Contractors will be assigned a respective portion based upon price submitted, their proximity to the portion, and their ability to service the area.
