Pursuant to section 228 of Local Government Regulation 2012 (“LGR”), GRC is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified and licenced Contractors for the removal, processing, disposal and/or repurposing of various waste streams throughout the Gladstone Region.

GRC are seeking the Services to add value, with potential incentives for cost-saving measures or refunds based on the volume and frequency of the waste collected.

This Expressions of Interest (EOI) is seeking solutions from qualified and licenced Contractors for the removal, processing, disposal and/or repurposing of the following waste streams and services:

• Timber (unprocessed and woodchip)

• Scrap Steel

• Mattresses

• Hard Plastics

• Processed green waste (mulch)

• Green waste (unprocessed)

• Solar panels

• Tyres

• Degassing services (fridges, air conditioners, gas bottles)

• Air conditioners

• Concrete

• Chemical’s containers

• Clean fill

• Inert Mix / Bitumen

• E-waste

• Paint

• Fire extinguishers

• Other waste Types:

o Butane Gas Bottles/Containers

o Batteries (non-automotive and automotive including Alkaline, Nickel Metal Hydride and Lithium Ion)

o Marine Flares

o Ammunition

o Polystyrene packaging

Proponents are to note that the specification in section 3 is intended to provide sufficient details to prepare a response to this EOI. Should the EOI process result in a closed tender process, the final tender specification will be provided to those Proponent/s that are shortlisted.
