Description of the Works
The Scope of Works for this project comprises the design, construction, administration, supply of all materials, machinery, labour, expertise and equipment for complete construction of a new sanitary facility at East Intercourse Island (EII).
The project includes the demolition of the existing facility, the proposed re-development shall be respectful and inclusive in its design providing male, female and gender neutral /universal sanitary facilities for employees and contractors. Power to the facility is to be supplemented by suitably sized solar panels.
RTIO are seeking quotes for design and construct options as outlined below:
Option 1 - EII Reclaimer:
a) Permanent Installation of prefabricated/portable sanitary facilities with integrated effluent tank.
b) Facilities shall Include male, female and gender neural/universal sanitary facilities, the male and female blocks shall be designed to be independent from each other.
c) The male and female facilities shall provide provisions for 2 x users with the gender neutral/universal facility being for single use.
d) Air-Conditioned cool room with a filtered water hydration station and Ice machine
e) Adjacent to the buildings there shall be a fixed/permanent shaded rest area with seating and landscaped.
Option 2 - EII Reclaimer:
a) Permanent on-site construction of sanitary facilities.
b) Facilities shall Include male, female and gender neutral/universal access facilities, the male and female blocks shall be designed to be independent from each other.
c) The male and female facilities shall provide provisions for 2 x users with the gender neutral/universal facility being for single use.
d) Air-Conditioned cool room with a filtered water hydration station and Ice machine.
e) Excavate and lay new sewer line to connect into existing septic tanks back fill as per specifications.
f) Decommission existing sewer line on completion of work.
g) Adjacent to the buildings there shall be a fixed/permanent shaded rest area with seating and landscaped.
SCOPE OF WORKS
The Works includes, but is not limited to, the design, construction, supply and delivery of all Goods (including materials, equipment and tools), labour and supervisory Personnel, Constructional Plant and infrastructure, Temporary Works and any other items necessary or required for the proper and timely Completion of the Works under the Contract.
1) Supply of all labour, materials, craneage, access, equipment, plant, rigging and consumables necessary for transport, handling, erection, assembly, installation and testing and commissioning of all Works.
3) Mobilisation and demobilisation of all plant and equipment, establishment and disestablishment of all facilities, and connection and disconnection of all utilities and services necessary for the Contractor to complete the Works, commensurate with the Contractor manning.
4) Demolition of the existing structures including footings to suit new levels.
5) Remove all waste from site and dispose of in accordance with the relevant Company Specification.
6) Construction of the structures, including walls, roofing, and flooring.
7) Installation of plumbing, sanitary and drainage systems including floor wastes.
8) Installation of all plumbing fixtures such as toilets, urinals, basins, and tapware.
9) Electrical work for lighting, ventilation, and any other necessary fixtures.
10) All external lighting shall be designed to minimize sky glow (Amber Lights Preferred).
11) Appropriate ventilation systems are installed in all blocks to maintain air quality.
12) Installation of air conditioning to cool room.
13) Suitable sized solar panels to provide supplementary power to facilities.
14) Installation of hand dryers, toilet roll dispensers, soap dispensers, mirrors, or any other amenities.
15) Installation of doors, windows, locks, and signage.
16) Painting and finishing work.
17) Ensure compliance with accessibility standards and regulations.
18) Install ramps, handrails, and other accessibility features as required.
19) Filtered hydration station and ice machine.
20) Landscaping including shaded rest area.
