New Plymouth District Council's NPDC Ma Ake Lets Go Programme aims for more people to use active transport for trips. NPDC seeks the services of a provider to deliver the Ma Ake Let's Go Cyclist and Scooter Skills Programme in primary and intermediate schools within the New Plymouth district. An important component of the programme is the provision of training in accordance with the national cycling education system, BikeReady.

The programme aims to give school students the skills to ride safely and confidently on shared pathways and low volume roads in New Plymouth district. The programme encourages cycling as an enjoyable and environmentally friendly transport option for everyone.
