Richmond Valley Council (the Principal) is seeking Tenders from appropriately qualified and experienced Tenderers for the Design and Construction of a landslip on Upper Mongogarie Road. The landslip occurred during the 2022 February and March floods.

A more detailed brief of the extent of services required by Council is set out in Part 3 – the Specification of this Tender document.

Background information / Compatibility requirements

• Design Deliverables required,

- Detailed Survey of the site with sufficient detail to design the reconstruction of the embankment on Mongogarie Road reserve and Mongogarie Creek incorporating adequate scour protection and gabion retaining system for the stabilisation of the bank and reinstatement the of roadside table drain, replacement of existing assets or infrastructure that may conflict with construction.

- Engineering Plans with sufficient details of the gabion retaining system, scour protection and table drain the be able to carry out these works.

- Typical scour rock, gabion and backfill detail for the embankment to reinstated.

- Provide a Bill of Quantities.

• Construct Deliverables required,

- Site establishment and management.

- Bulk excavate sediment materials to firm base.

- Supply and construct gabion retaining system.

- Reconstruct slope, supplying scour rock to assist with protection.

- Reinstate the paddock (private property) between road reserve and riverbank by supplying imported fill.

- Supply and install new boundary fences.

- Reinstate roadside table drain.

- Site clean-up and rehabilitation of disturbed areas.
