This request to quote is for the external provider to read the water meters in the towns of Anakie, Comet, Emerald, Rubyvale and Sapphire from the 17 May 2024 to the 3 June 2024. And progressively provide checked and completed read sheets for each day’s data collection for council’s entry into Tech One. Once council has reviewed data there may be a need for re-reads to clarify any missed reads up to the 14 June 2024. CHRC is looking for an inclusive price (labour, travel, allowances, etc) for Anakie, Comet, Emerald, Rubyvale and Sapphire for the reads and re-reads. Below includes the approximate number of meters in each town. GPS Coordinates for the water meters in Anakie, Comet, Rubyvale & Sapphire are available via ArcGIS Field Maps/Collector, reads are still a manual collection for these townships.

• Anakie – 67 meters over 1 route

• Comet – 48 meters over 1 route

• Emerald – 5844 Meters over 36 routes

• Rubyvale – 315 Meters over 1 route

• Sapphire – 271 Meters over 1 route

Internal CHRC staff will undertake reading in Bauhinia, Blackwater, Bluff, Capella, Dingo, Duaringa, Rolleston, Springsure and Tieri. There may be an opportunity for the external contractors to also assist with other towns, this would be based on meters reads progress by both the internal and external staff over the first two weeks, as a result council request a provisional (if ordered) daily rate for meter readers. CHRC will aim to enter all manual read sheets however if further assistance is required Council is requesting a rate for a provisional item (if ordered) for a Data Entry officer, who will work with our internal staff to convert the manual read to electronic entries in Tech One.
