Council is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) from individuals or organizations with the capacity and experience to operate the commercial kitchen and café under a lease at the Slim Dusty Centre, located at 490 Macleay Valley Way, South Kempsey, NSW.

Typically, respondents would enter into a lease with Council for use of the facility, which includes an agreed minimum cafe and event catering service within the facility, annual rental fee; and annual reporting to Council, including financial statements.

However, Council invites alternative proposals to a lease by parties who express interest in providing services to the facility that contribute to its successful management and operation.

It is expected that the successful Lessee will provide quality food and beverage offerings in line with industry best practices that are responsive to the needs of the Slim Dusty Centre and reflect Council’s vision for this unique site.

It is anticipated that applicants acknowledge in their submissions that the Slim Dusty Centre offers a quality commercial kitchen and cafe, and a large potential client base for the Lessee to draw upon during their operations, and that there is suitable financial benefit for Council and the Lessee.
