Tender Description

The City of Bayswater (the City), has joint responsibility for managing the Derbal Yerrigan (Swan River) with the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA).

The City is seeking interest from a suitably qualified and experienced Consultant (or Consultants working in collaboration) for the provision of landscape led, multi-disciplinary consultancy and design services for three separate, but generally similar projects:

A. Riverside Gardens and Hinds Reserve Foreshore Design

B. Tranby Reserve and Bath Street Reserve Foreshore Design

C. Bardon Park Foreshore Design

Each project will be treated as a Separable Portion.

As part of the City's 10 Year Foreshore Plan, the objective of these projects is to ensure that the foreshore and adjoining public open spaces will continue to be highly valued and accessible recreational assets for the community. That will be achieved by conserving and enhancing the natural ecology and cultural heritage, stabilising the riverbank, formalising connection and access to the river and future planning for the public infrastructure and recreational areas.

The project designs will require integration of the foreshore and surrounding public open space as outlined in the Design Brief, Scope of Work and Extent of Works plans. Consultation with local Elders and the broader Aboriginal community will be required to ensure that the designs appropriately consider sites of significance.

Each project will have the same phases which will include Initiation and Planning, Site Analysis and Stage 1 Stakeholder Engagement, Concept Design and Stage Two Stakeholder Engagement and Detailed Design and Tender Documentation.

A full statement of the requirements is provided in the Project Scope.
