The City of Gold Coast (Client) is seeking to engage a suitably qualified, experienced quantity surveyor and programmer to develop cost plan, program of works (optional scope Provisional Sum P4) during the development of Concept Design for the new Home of the Arts (HOTA) 1800 seat Lyric Theatre, and to undertake Procurement Pathway Analysis to inform future decision making.

The consultant will be involved with the project team throughout the Concept Design stage, scheduled for completion by September 2024, with final cost plan and program to be finalised by October 2024.

The consultant is required to have previous Lyric Theatre experience.

Details

HOTA is subject to the Masterplan endorsed by the Council of the City of Gold Coast (Council) in 2015. Following a mid-level review in 2022 Council resolved that the next cultural destination for delivery of the Masterplan by the Client is to be the HOTA Lyric Theatre. Subsequently, a Strategic Design Framework for the preferred option has been developed.

The Client is now progressing Concept Design for the Lyric Theatre to position the project for procurement of a Design and Construction Contractor in early 2025, subject to Council approval.
