Scope of work
Rio Tinto is planning to pilot Battery Electric Haul Trucks (BEHT) in the RTIO business at Tom Price.
Sustaining Capital is tendering two Packages for the Pilot Project.
The first package is for the Bulk and Detailed Civil works at Tom Price.
The second package (this EOI) is for the Electrical Supply, Installation and Commissioning Work
A major component of this work will be in the Tom Price "Pit"
The Scope includes:
- Connecting 33kV power to the Tom Price bulk Substation
- HV Power Reticulation from the bulk substation into the Pit
- Installation and connection of Company Supplied items including (not a definitive list)
- HV/DC rectifier charging substations
- RMU Kiosk substation
- Static Charging system (both low power and high power, refer to CharIN’s MCS for further technical information)
- Dynamic charging system (refer to BluVeinXL website for concept)
- LV Power
- Communication and controls
- Commissioning support
- Other ancillary activities
