Tender Description
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) requires a panel of suppliers who can provide earthmoving equipment, bulk water tankers, mobile refuelling facilities and operators to support DFES operations before, during and after emergencies. As well as clean-up and post incident activities.
Earthmoving equipment will primarily be used for clearing and removing vegetation within controlled and uncontrolled fire grounds, shifting sand at hazardous materials (HAZMAT) incidents, or removing debris, or rubble at structural fires, or supporting operations during natural hazards. Water tankers will be utilised by firefighters at incidents for additional supplies of water. Mobile refuelling facilities will be used in emergency operations and natural hazards to replenish fuels to vehicles involved if no other source of fuel is located nearby.
Panel Members may be placed on standby for days where DFES consider there to be a high incident risk, particularly public holidays.
DFES seeks to establish a Panel Arrangement with suppliers from all regions of the State of Western Australia. The Panel Arrangement will be divided into the following regions:
- Perth Metropolitan
- South West
- Lower South West
- Great Southern
- Upper Great Southern
- Goldfields/Midlands
- Midwest/Gascoyne
- Pilbara
- Kimberley
Respondents may nominate to provide Services in one or more region.
The Services required are divided into three categories:
- Earthmoving Equipment
- Bulk water Tankers; and
- Mobile Refuelling.
Respondents may nominate to provide Services under one or more categories.
DFES will request work to be completed on an “as required” basis and does not guarantee any volume of work under the Panel Arrangement.
