Tender Description
The City of Sydney ("the City") invites Requests for Tender to supply and install an audio visual solution and optionally new lighting for the Sydney Town Hall Council Chamber in accordance with this request.
Background
The Sydney Town Hall is a landmark building constructed in the 1880s and contains the Council Chamber, reception rooms, the Centennial Hall and offices for the Lord Mayor and elected councillors.
The Council Chamber, located on the first floor, is the meeting place of local government and is primarily used for Council and committee meetings. The Council Chamber was refurbished in the mid-2000s and an update to the audio visual system was implemented in 2019.
The nature and format of Council and committee meetings are evolving, and technology is playing an increasing role. Remote participation is becoming more common; live streaming and recording of meetings is now standard practice. The audio visual solution must keep pace with and enable these new ways of working.
Project Overview
This project will implement a new audio visual solution in the Sydney Town Hall Council Chamber and, optionally, new lighting. The scope of work includes:
- Replacing the existing audio visual equipment with a new solution inclusive of large screen displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, and conferencing, with integrated switching and touch panel controls.
- Optionally, replace the existing central room lighting and feature lighting with a modern energy efficient, centrally controlled lighting solution.
Objective of this Request for Tender
Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced organisation to implement a new audio visual solution in the Sydney Town Hall Council Chamber, and optionally new lighting, in accordance with the specifications.
Tenderers are required to provide realistic delivery times.
