Tender Description
The Weigh Right Programme (WRP) has been created to apply policing of overweight vehicles in key locations across the country. To achieve that, New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA), through the WRP is managing the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of 12 Commercial Vehicle Safety Centres (CVSCs).
NZTA invites tenders for the construction of elements of the CVSC located at Bombay, south of Auckland.
The Contract Works include the construction of a site compound which will contain a vehicle inspection shed with inspection pit, a vehicle weighbridge and a vehicle compliance building. The structures and equipment will be supplied and installed by others, but the Contract Works include the provision of all infrastructure necessary to support the installation and operation of the buildings and equipment including earthworks, drainage, water reticulation, pavement works, signage, lighting, landscaping and fencing.
Specific scope elements include:
• Earthworks,
• Retaining wall construction
• Construction of stormwater, potable water and wastewater assets,
• Construction of weighbridge and inspection pits and foundations for inspection shed.
• Pavement construction and surfacing,
• Installation of lighting, security systems,
• Fencing, signage, and line marking.
