Tender Description
CON23038: The contract works are for the supply, construction, and installation of two tank platforms and two timber tanks (the tanks are supplied by a nominated supplier of Timber Tanks). The supply and installation of new pipework, hydrants, valves, and fittings both inside and outside the reservoir footprint will also be required. Additionally, the supply, construction, and installation of a pump station building, an attenuation pond, and a concrete precast (telemetry) shed are required.
Other required works within the contract include:
- Earthworks & vegetation clearing
- Formation & construction of a right of way (ROW), driveway, car park, and traffic management
- Stormwater construction for the reservoir site and ROW
- Supply, construct & install ducts & trenches for power & telecommunications
- Supply and install security fencing
- Water tightness testing
- Cleaning, sanitisation, testing, and commissioning of the new reservoirs and infrastructure
- Existing reservoir site: site clearance, tank removal, make good
- Decommission existing system after the new reservoir and pipework are operational
- Landscaping and reinstatement
The works are located in Kamo, beginning at Dip Road, continuing along Three Mile Bush Road, and will finish down a ROW of Woodlea Lane (approximately 2.6 km of pipe work). The proposed timber tanks are to be located in Woodlea Lane near two properties.
Council's preference is for the entire tender process, including downloading tender documents, raising queries and submitting tenders, to be managed electronically using the Whangarei District Council's E-Procurement Portal. This Portal can be accessed via (see option below)
