Tender Description
Queensland Hydro is seeking a suitably qualified Pumped Hydro Energy Storage (PHES) Designer to advance our Borumba Pumped Hydro Project through the provision of full design and other services for the design and construction phases of the Underground Main Works package (including tunnels, caverns, power station complex, integration of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) electro-mechanical equipment, and interface with the upper and lower dams’ packages).
It is important to Queensland Hydro that Proponents demonstrate their capacity to provide a team and resources with demonstrated international PHES design expertise combined with a strong local presence in Brisbane.
The procurement process for the PHES Designer will comprise a two-stage process including an open market Expression of Interest (EOI) Phase and subsequent Request for Proposal (RFP) Phase.
This Expression of Interest phase (EOI Phase) is open to entities with the necessary experience, capacity, capability, and commitment to work collaboratively with Queensland Hydro and its delivery partners.
