Provision of Catering Services

The City of South Perth is seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced catering businesses interested in providing a catering service for a range of meetings and functions held for the City.

The successful Tenderer will be required to do all things necessary for the supply and preparation of food for the City's catered functions, ensuring the highest standards of quality of food, hygiene and service are maintained at all times.

The food should be contemporary in style and presentation, with an emphasis on fresh, seasonal foods responsive to a range of culinary tastes and experiences, including a menu refresh after a period of 12 months.

The successful Tenderer will be required at all times to place a priority on fresh, locally produced, nutritionally balanced cuisine. The successful Tenderer will have demonstrated its ability to respond to special dietary requirements (i.e. vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, vegan, halal, etc.).

The successful Tenderer must be able to attend and manage multiple locations (as required) in its provision of service to the City of South Perth. These venues will include, but will not be limited to:

• CoSP Civic Centre, Cnr Sandgate Street & South Tce, SOUTH PERTH
• CoSP Operations Centre, 199 Thelma Street, COMO,
• George Burnett Leisure Centre, Manning Road, KARAWARA
• John McGrath Pavilion and Hall, 97 Hensman Street, SOUTH PERTH
• Manning Hub and Library, 2 Conochie Crescent, MANNING
• Possible temporary outdoor venues within the City of South Perth area.

The Contract term is for two years and includes two options to extend the Contract for a further 12 months, each exercisable at the sole discretion of the City and subject to operational requirements, budget and contractor performance.

The City

The City of South Perth is a medium sized metropolitan local government authority in the inner southern suburbs of the Western Australian capital city of Perth. Situated across the Swan River about 4 kilometres south of Perth CBD, the City is nearly 20 square kilometres and covers the suburbs of South Perth, Kensington, Como, Manning, Karawara, Waterford and Salter Point. The district is primarily residential, however important local industries include professional offices, educational institutions, tourism and golf courses.

The City is guided by its Sustainability Strategy, policy, systems and practices, which commit to identifying and minimising harmful sustainability impacts of the City's operations. The Organisation

The City's Civic Centre is located on the corner of Sandgate Street and South Terrace, South Perth. The City also operates from other locations including its Operations Centre at 199 Thelma Street, Como.

The organisation has the responsibility for the good government of the City of South Perth. The City must perform its functions in accordance with the Local Government Act (WA) 1995. The City also has statutory obligations under a wide range of state and federal legislation.
