Dirranbandi, Railway Street – Kerb and Channel Renewal

⁠⁠⁠Balonne Shire Council is planning the renewal of Kerb and Channel (K&C) on Railway Street, Dirranbandi as part of the 2023/2024 Capital Works Program.

Railway Street is on the Department of Transport and Main Roads State Controlled) Castlereagh Highway and any traffic management is subject to the DTMR decision notice under section 33(1) of the Transport Infrastructure Act 1994 (TIA) for road works.

Council is seeking a Lump Sum quotation to undertake the works in accordance with scope of works below, applicable specifications, drawings and supplied Annexure Part D - Price Schedule.

The quotation is based on approximately 180 linear meters of K&C replacement as shown in the attached Location map below.

The works are expected to reach Practical Completion by no later than 30 May 2024. The respondent shall provide and indicative works program to demonstrate this.

The scope of works includes but is not limited to the following:

1. Site establishment and dis-establishment.

2. Traffic and Pedestrian management subject to DTMR decision notice under section 33(1) of the Transport Infrastructure Act 1994 (TIA) for road works.

3. Saw cut bitumen and existing K&C for removal.

4. Removal and disposal of approximately 180m existing K&C.

5. Bedding to K&C, supply, level and compact gravel base minimum 75mm thick and extends to 150mm behind back of kerb.

6. Install approximately 180m K&C Type B1 – 450mm channel in accordance with IPWEA Standard Drawing RS-080 attached.

7. Concrete to be minimum N32 in accordance with IPWEA Standard Drawing RS-080 attached.

8. Pavement re-instatement and seal repair.

9. Work hours are 7am to 6 pm Monday to Saturday with no work on Sunday or public holidays.

10. Contractor to Comply with Balonne Shire Councils Work Health & Safety Management System, Policy's & Procedures.

11. Contractor and his employees on site must have Construction White cards and all relevant licences and tickets to undertake the works.

The budget for this project is limited and Council will reserve the right to negotiate a variation of linear meters with the successful respondent considering all the Provisional Sums/Rates in the Annexure
