Tender Description

The work scope covers the widening of the existing bridge over Wantagong Creek. Works include the driving of additional piles, construction of abutments, PSC decking and approach road construction.

The existing structure will be upgraded to current HML structural requirements and to conform to current standard regarding lane width. Tenders based on a D and C project for an equivalent HML widening structure will be considered by Council.

The construction will need to be staged with a temporary travel lanes constructed to maintain 24 hour access to the Upper Murray region. The works take place under conditions imposed and enforced by Fisheries NSW. Contractors are advised that the contract requires the preparation of a Construction and Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) in sufficient detail for an application for a Work on Waterway Permit.

Mitigation measures may include significant amounts of silt fencing, the temporary utilisation of a low-flow diversion pipe and sandbag coffer dams. Any Work on Waterway issued for this project will specifically prohibit any work being carried out in the months of September to December inclusive.

Tenderers should clearly state when they propose to carry out the works.A non-compulsory pre-tender meet will be held on site at 2pm on Thursday, 8 February 2024.

Tenderers may inspect the site at any time however attendance at the site meeting is recommended. Any enquiries during the tender period shall be directed via tendering portal.
