This Project comprises of the relocation of the existing 598 accommodation rooms and central facility buildings (rapid deployment camp) at Wintamarra Village. The Village will be moved from its current location to the agreed location, adjacent to the West Angelas Village. This requirement stems from the planned blasting to take place in Q1 of 2025 at Wintamarra, currently – Wintamarra village is situated within the 600m personnel exclusion zone associated with the blasting.

The frequency and duration of blasting activities means it’s unrealistic for the camp to be temporarily evacuated during the blasting activities. Over the course of the project (2025), there will be limited access to the Wintamarra Site due to the blasting activities. There is a requirement to have 300 rooms commissioned for use at the new location in Q4 2024.

The relocation will be in 3 stages to allow 300 rooms to be available during the relocation. Stage 1 will move 300 rooms to the new location, and they will need to be commissioned for use by 16 Dec 2024. Included in Stage 1 will be the bulk earthworks and relocation of 2 water tanks.

The existing camp will be required to be operational until Stage 1 is complete. Stage 2 Central Facilities and Stage 3 balance of rooms will follow immediately after completion of Stage 1.
